Solstice – Solstice (1992)
This is one that I picked up around the time it debuted mainly because of the label it was on. Century Media Records 
was putting out some cool stuff like Iced Earth at the time so I thought I’d give this a shot. Glad I did. It’s a good cross between death and thrash metal without getting too over the top. I guess they featured members of Cannibal Corpse, Demolition Hammer, Disincarnate, Divine Empire, Hateplow, Hellwitch, Malevolent Creation, Resurrection; none of which I have ever cared about in the least.
I really liked the drummer on this release. Some really good footwork.
Overall this isn’t the greatest band to come from that Florida death/thrash scene but this album is certainly worth a listen. It’s been out of print for quite some time.
Sanctuary – Into the Mirror Live/Black Reflections (1990)
I scored this CD around 1998 when i was starting to purge my record collection. I traded a Mercyful Fate Melissa 12″ 
picture disc for it to some dude in Canada. In 1999 I went to Richmond, VA to see Nevermore and did an interview with Warrell Dane. I asked him about this ep and he stated that about 1000 were made and only about 500 actually got released to record stores and radio stations as a promo. The others were destroyed when CBS dropped Sanctuary from their label. He did say, however, that he still had the master reels from this recording and wanted to put the whole show out officially. Obviously 11 years later I don’t think it’s going to happen. What a pity. This is a great recording although I wish White Rabbit would have been left out.

Rex Inferi – Like A Hurricane (1985)
Here’s another rarity out of the collection. I picked this up about 2 years ago from Sentinel Steel. Limited to only 500 
copies on CD, I had to pick it up after hearing a few tracks from YouTube. This is great early Italian power metal and highly recommended if you liked the NWOBHM stuff. The first 4 tracks feature one singer and the last tracks feature the replacement singer. I definitely prefer the first guy. They remind me a bit of Tokyo Blade (Night of the Blade era). I highly recommend this download.

Iron Maiden – Night Of The Living Dead (Live 1982)
Here’s a GREAT live show from the New York Palladium, June 29, 1982. This apparently was a radio broadcast. The 
only thing that could have made this show better for me was if they had played Total Eclipse.

Iron Maiden – The Whole Population Of Hackney (Live 1985)
Here’s a sort of rare Maiden bootleg that I used to have on vinyl ages ago. I used to be a bigtime Maiden record 
collector and had well over 200 records. Those old days of trading records through magazine ads and the early alt.newsgroup days are long gone thanks to the advancement of the Internet. Good times though. Never a deal gone sour! I sold off most of my entire record collection around 2000. Sometimes I wish I still had it all but I used to move a lot and lugging those crates around were a bear.
Anyhoo…The Whole Population of Hackney (aka The Entire Population of Hackney). This was an odd little show and technically it’s not even an Iron Maiden show. You can read about the history of this recording here.
One of the things I liked about this is that some of the songs ended up being recorded by Adrian under his ASAP project. I love that album and wish he would have done a followup.
