Bees. Abejas.
I love bees. Always have. They are incredible machines of nature.
Today outside my office a swarm of honey bees came in and found refuge on a little magnolia tree. They were awesome. I put my hand in the wad of bees that were surrounding the queen and they didn’t get aggravated at all. Crawled on my fingers for a few seconds then flew right back to the coven. It was really cool. Had to be at least 1000 or more.
Here are 2 shots taken about 2 hours apart.
I wish them the best in their search. Bee populations have dwindled dramatically in recent years. Hope this turns around.
Very interesting. I did not know you could put your hand next/into them like that without being stung. Me, I would have been intimidated by this sight. (I need to shed my “Killer B Phobia”). I guess you learn something new every day… as that old saying goes. Fine pics you took too.

Bee’s are very are cool. I was raised in a small town and we lived on a large property with grapes and shit like that. We had maybe a dozen bee hives and me and used to go down and have ‘smoke’ and watch them for hours.
There was one time they made a home in the grape vines and my dad didn’t like that, so he decided to get the shot shotgun out.
you can guess what happened. Not that it did much. It just pissed them off and me.
I didn’t speak to him for about a week, by what I can remember.
My two favorite things, music and nature.
There good photo’s.
