This may be the first country and western post on this site, maybe the last.  It’s been reported that George “The Possum” “No Show” Jones has died.  One wouldn’t think that I’d have any C&W influence but that was the music that my dad primarily listened to growing up, and he was especially fond of George Jones.  I have fond memories of hanging out with dad in the garage while he worked on old cars.  GJ had a special voice and his deep pain and anguish that led to him to the bottle came out in much of his music.
